It's not a far drive from OC if you are local in Orange County and the scenery is beautiful. It is one of the top national parks in California.Other things to noteNo smoking in the van, please! Although we love your pets no pets are allowed in the van either. This van cannot be taken to "burning man", as the sand is very difficult to clean. The sand ruins the motor of the vehicle and the interior, it gets stuck in every crack and also goes inside the vents as well. It does severe damage and is very costly. It is also not covered by the insurance policy. We also do not allow the van to go into any dirt roads. Thank you for your understanding!

Easy to drive with great mileage

The clean, comfortable campervan handles well, gets ~20 mpg, and is easy to drive/park. Features include a pop-top (loved by kids), spacious fridge, stove, AC, and comes stocked with kitchen supplies and linens.

Guests love it for first-timers

She’s a beauty. Drives easily, great gas mileage, plus hosts were responsive and helpful for last minute questions. Bonus that it came with a bike rack for 2 which I didn’t notice. Slept 1 adult and 2 pre-teens. The fridge with freezer was spacious, galley was a little tight for more than one but manageable, propane stove with two burners, and heat for night time chill. I forgot to ask, but privacy screens for front and back windows would be great to have. I would totally rent again.

Frequently asked questions

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

We can usually work around your schedule, as long as there is communication ahead of time. The flexibility in pick up and drop off will depend on if the RV is booked for a trip or not. As long as there is availability and we are able to come at that time it is not an issue. Both my husband and I work full-time jobs, if we can communicate between those hours that would be best. So early morning or the evening hours on weekdays would be ideal.

Q.

Are we allowed to drive in the snow or on dirt roads?

A.

No. This car is not meant to drive in the snow or on dirt roads. Going off road or on dirt roads could potentially overheat the vehicle and burn the motor. Any mechanical or electrical issues that happen on your trip will not be covered by your insurance policy and will be taken out of your deposit if damaged due to the terrain you were driving in, or the negligence of the driver. If anything stops working or shuts off do NOT press any buttons or touch anything until we are contacted.

Q.

What are the cleaning requirements for the RV?

A.

Dumping the grey water and portable bathroom cassette can be done at an extra fee. We shouldn’t expect to find any unwashed dishes that have been used or unusual things such as bugs, dirt, throw-up, etc. It should be left in the condition in which it was brought in. Thank you for your understanding.

Q.

What works in the vehicle?

A.

In the vehicle you will find a fridge, plug-ins, and a stove. Along with that you will also have a water pump, a toilet, two sinks and two showers with running water. There is also a heating system in the RV. All of these things can work with solar power and will last you quite some time before needing outside charging. If you are in a sunny area, the solar power should be charging the RV the entire time. All those require minimal energy and electricity, so it should be fine.
