Thanks for your interest in Durango! It is a tried and true 2005 Sprinter 2500 that is built out and fully equipped with everything you need to explore the open road- from weekend getaways to month long excursions! This renowned Mercedes diesel gets 22-25 MPG. Features include a custom conversion complete with a convertible full size bed, sink, gas stove, cassette toilet and freezer/fridge. Durango is ready with full insulation, heater, ventilation, solar power system, and plenty of cabinets and storage space to pack away your gear. When it's time to enjoy your campsite from the outside, make use of the outdoor table, chairs, gas fire pit, and Skottle grill- all included with your rental. Of course no adventure van is complete without an outdoor shower to wash yourself, your gear or your furry friend.Bottom line: This van was designed for folks who just want to explore. Yes the dash is dated and it lacks the modern fancy driving features of a new van. But it gets good gas mileage, has that mountain-climbing diesel torque, and a comfortable & practical living area. It’s nice, but not too nice…know what I mean? What's includedCookware, dishes, utensils, coffee press, eco-friendly dish and body soaps, linens, towels, cleaning supplies, camp chairs, Fire Can gas fire-pit, Tembo Tusk skottle grill, camp table, roadside emergency kit (in addition to the 24/7 roadside assistance), first aid kit, fire extinguisher, bluetooth speaker, insulated window covers, heated outdoor shower system, rear door shower curtain, bamboo shower mat, CO State Parks pass, National Park Pass, and other odds & ends.RecommendationsColorado is filled with dozens of State and National Parks. Your options are limitless! Our unlimited mileage policy allows you the freedom to go where you want without worrying about extra charges. Some of our favorite spots include Ouray, Salida, and of course Durango. For more traditional weekend trips we recommend any of our 42 great State Parks, accessible for free via the included park passes. Great Sand Dunes and Rocky Mountain National Parks offer truly unique Colorado experiences. If you are wanting a little longer trip, just head west and you'll access Mesa Verde & Black Canyon National Parks. Cross into Utah and base camp out of Moab to see Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, as well as many other UT State Parks.Other things to note- While Durango is a very well outfitted van, it is 2 wheel drive and not suited for off-road travel. Please stick to paved and dirt roads, 4x4 trails are off limits.
- Please no smoking of any type. Just like hotels and rental cars, there is a substantial fee for smoking in the van.
- Renters are responsible for emptying and cleaning the cassette toilet black water tank. There’s a fee there too if not cleaned, and we really don’t want to collect any fees!
- Of course pets are welcome, but we'd like to know what kind of pet you are bringing. We like to treat them well also!
- Remember, this is a high roof van. Do not attempt drive-throughs, parking garages, or other low clearance situations.

Q.Do you have any vanning pro tips?
A.
We recommend you download a few helpful apps: iOverlander, COtrip, & gasbuddy. Make sure you secure all loose belongings before setting out - Latch all drawers and cabinets, ensure nothing is left on the counters, and close all the doors. Always keep an eye on the weather forecast and plan fuel stops before you lose cell service. Lock all the doors when sleeping or leaving the vehicle unattended. Keep the keys in the same place every time. Keep your water supply topped off.

Q.How do I cook with a skottle grill?
A.
We highly recommend you take advantage of our favorite overland cooking system, the skottle! This grill is included with your rental. Use the link below to explore some awesome recipes and some cooking pro tips. https://www.roadtrucker.com/images/manuals/tembotusk-essential-skottle-grill-cookbook.pdf

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We will work with your schedule to set up a convenient pick up and drop off. Just let us know what you'd like to do and we will try to make it work!

Q.What should I bring?
A.
We have outfitted Durango with just about everything you’ll need, however we recommend packing the following: Food, extra cooler for longer trips, extra 1lb propane, pillows, phone chargers, and your adventure gear.
