RecommendationsColorado is filled with dozens of State and National Parks. Your options are limitless with our liberal milage allowance. Some of our favorite spots include Ouray, Durango, and Estes Park. For more traditional weekend trips we recommend any of our 42 great State Parks, accessible for free via the included park passes. Great Sand Dunes and Rocky Mountain National Parks offer truly unique Colorado experiences. If you are wanting a little longer trip, just head west and you'll access Mesa Verde & Black Canyon National Parks. Cross into Utah and base camp out of Moab to see Arches & Canyonlands National Parks, as well as many other UT State Parks. Of course you can always reach out and ask for recommendations.Other things to note- While Hummingbird is a very well outfitted van, it is 2 wheel drive and not suited for off-road travel. Please stick to paved and dirt roads, 4x4 trails are off limits.
- Please no smoking of any type. Just like hotels and rental cars, there is a substantial fee for smoking in the van.
- Renters are responsible for emptying and cleaning the cassette toilet black water tank and dumping the gray water tank. There’s a fee there too if not cleaned, and we really don’t want to collect any fees!
- Of course pets are welcome, but we'd like to know what kind of pet you are bringing. We like to treat them well also!
- Remember, this is a high roof van. Do not attempt drive-throughs, parking garages, or other low clearance situations.

Highly responsive and helpful
Danny provides excellent communication, quickly answering questions and offering thorough explanations of the van's features. He is flexible with pickup/drop-off and thoughtful in provisioning the van with many essentials.
Drives perfectly, easy to maneuver
The van drives perfectly and easily maneuvers, aided by a rear view camera and blindspot detectors. It's exceptionally well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, a comfortable Murphy bed, effective heater, working solar, and an inside shower/toilet, ideal for family dry camping.

5.0We have rented a couple of vans through Outdoorsy before and Hummingbird is our favorite. All the mechanical systems worked great and were easy to understand. Great water pressure at the sink and a hot water boost. The heater was handy for fall nights at high elevations in Rocky Mountain NP. We didn’t need the window screens but could see where they would be great in the summer. The window coverings were easy to put in place and made the interior cozy and dark for sleeping. The Murphy bed is very comfortable and folded up to provide great storage access. Danny was very patient with numerous pre-booking questions and flexible with our pick up of the van. Be clear, this van is located in Colorado Springs, not Denver.

5.0We did dry camping all 3 nights we had the Hummingbird, and it was perfect! We loved every minute of our trip and will likely do it again! Danny was very quick to respond when booking and planning pickup. Would definitely recommend this for a sweet camping trip for a small family of 4.
