Other things to note1) Insurance – Every rental includes upgraded rental insurance through MBA, an industry leader in the RV Rental market. It carries a $1000 deductible and protects both the owner and renter. Details about the policy can be found in the camper manual. The renter is responsible for all damages not covered by insurance as well as the deductible during the rental period. (A copy of your ID will be held on file with us for insurance purposes.)
2) RV Awnings – over 50% of all damage claims pertain to RV awnings. Awnings can be easily damaged by higher winds, suspending items (lights, towels, etc) from the arms or rails. Use of the awning is not covered by MBA insurance. We do not prohibit use of the awning as it is a valuable part of the camping experience. However, use of the awning is the sole responsibility of the renter. Any damage that may occur is the responsibility of the renter. The average cost to replace an awning is $3000.00. It is recommended that the awning be brought in (closed) when not at the camper and during high winds.
3) Use only Toilet Paper Provided (Scott RV TP), all other types will cause permanent damage to the tank.
4) Do not leave pets unattended in the RV/camper. If doing is absolutely necessary, please crate your pet and/or raise to blinds to prevent damage. Blinds cost at least $125 per window to replace.
5) RV Air conditioners work best when the temperature outside the campers is greater than the temperature inside. If the exterior temperature is less than 70 degrees, open the windows and turn the AC to fan. Otherwise the AC will not cool the interior.
6) (For Rental Deliveries Only) Trekker RV Rental will deliver, connect, disconnect pick-up and dump tanks during this rental. The camper shall not be towed to another location by renter, nor will renter be asked to move, connect or disconnect. The renter may be required to dump tanks during an extended rental; however Trekker RV Rental will dump and clean tanks after pick up also. All services above are included in the delivery price. Delivery rentals relieve the renter of any language involving towing contained herein, if the renter does not move the unit during the rental.
