We had a good camping trip overall and enjoyed the RV itself. Enrique provided thorough communication leading up to the rental, and we appreciated some thoughtful extras like additional chairs and an outdoor rug. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and condition of the RV upon arrival were disappointing. There were dirty rags left in the shower, the sponges in the kitchen appeared very used, and the RV smelled strongly of marijuana. The odor was particularly strong our first night, and we had to air the RV out extensively the following day. At first, we weren’t sure if this was the norm because it was our first time renting an RV. We were traveling with babies and young children, including a crawling toddler, so this affected our experience more than it otherwise might have. There was also a broken coffee maker. Before the trip, I had specifically contacted Enrique to confirm that there was a coffee maker and even asked what size filters I should purchase. When I let him know it was broken, be suggested trying to turn it off and back on again and ultimately, “I may to buy a new one, sorry.” I was disappointed by how casually it was handled after I had specifically confirmed the amenity beforehand. After our stay, I sent Enrique a very positive message thanking him for the rental while also letting him know about the marijuana odor and dirty rags so he could address those issues for future guests. The only response was a thumbs-up. I would have appreciated more acknowledgment or concern, particularly regarding the condition and cleanliness of the RV when it was turned over to us. There were definitely positives to our rental, and we had a wonderful camping trip. However, I think the RV needed a much more thorough cleaning and inspection between renters, and I was disappointed with the response when I brought the issues to the host’s attention.
