Hi! I'm Polly VanDelay, a 1988 Winnebago LeSharo who's interior has been remodeled to remind me of where I grew up; French Polynesia! I'm based on a trés chic Renault van and while I'm not fast I'm super comfortable to ride in. My four captain's chairs all have seatbelts and windows, plus my second row of seats converts to a plush twin bed for naps or a good night's rest. I even have a trick up my sleeve, a slide-in shower in the onboard W.C. that allows more space inside for bathroom time but gets out of the way when not in use. My petite fridge has enough space to hold a weekend's worth of fresh food no problem and it runs on AC/DC/LPG so even when boondocking you can keep the Vin Blanc froid. My gas stove works great to make breakfast or dinner and LPG heater keeps you warm on chilly nights. If I'm hooked up to 110V power you can run my rooftop A/C and keep it chill inside on the hot summer nights.
I have a generous hanging closet and lots of small storage bins all around, plus a four seat dinette that converts to a Full size bed. Even people over six feet tall can comfortably sleep across the back. My interior table can be mounted outside under my awning for alfresco dining.
While I'm not too tall inside (just under 6') that allows me to go to places that other RVs can't go, I can even park in a regular parking space! I'm sure you'll love spending time with me and taking me on adventures. Whether you want to visit the woods or go to a concert I'm up for anything!
I love kids as long as they're respectful and nobody wants to go adventuring without their pet, so they can come too for a small additional fee.
I'm also very easy to get into. While I'm not wheelchair accessible I only have one step from the ground to my interior. I'm great for those with mobility issues!
What's includedFreshly laundered sheets, pillows, and comforters for sound sleeping.
Soft clean towels for shower fun.
Two rolls each of TP and PT.
Dish soap, hand soap, shampoo & conditioner.
Bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, sanitizer.
Propane for cooking and heat.
Tea Kettle and French Press, j'adore café!
Fire starters for campfire fun.
Headlights and flashlights.
Dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and basic cooking tools.
iPad with a few movies loaded, plus a bit of music that you can play using the JBL bluetooth speaker!
Tropical themed outdoor carpet.
Outdoor awning.
Leveling blocks.
Water Hose, sewer hose, 50feet of 30A power cord.
RecommendationsSince I'm not big on going fast (I cruise about 60 MPH) I love shorter trips or ones where you're not in a hurry. I'm perfect for a week trip to Michigan, a hiking trip to Starved Rock, a jaunt up to Wisconsin, or whatever! I'm not great in the mountains, so heading to Telluride isn't my forté, but I love exploring everywhere.
Other things to noteI love adventure but my parents want to keep me safe. I'm a rare and classic Motorhome like no other so there are some ground rules we need to set.
First, I have a curious transmission, it's kind of like a mix between an Automatic and a Manual. I'm not hard to drive, in fact I ride like a cloud, but it takes a tiny bit more than just getting in and driving me. One of my parents will teach you in like 30 seconds, so it's no big deal.
Because I'm a classic I want to stay in good condition. I have some bumps and scrapes but I'm mechanically sound and I'm very well taken care of. I have a strict 65 MPH limit and only like to cruise at 60. Sure we'll get passed on the highway by some semis, but what's the rush?
My interior has been refreshed but my plush upholstery is all original and I'd like to keep it that way. Cats with claws or bad doggies will not be tolerated and any damage caused by pets will be fully deducted from your deposit including labor and any forced cancellations due to my needing to be repaired.
With that said, I'm totally chill. Just want to make sure you get that I'm not your ordinary RV.
