Little Miss Sunshine is a custom-converted 2017 Ford Transit (High Roof). She's incredibly versatile and packed with features! It's equipped with a full-size extendable bed, which retracts to a couch during the day. It's also got a full kitchen (25 gal freshwater tank), dedicated laundry and trash compartments, a chemical toilet, and much more.I've put together a PDF "Renter's Guide" that I share with all my renters. It includes a labeled walkthrough of all the van's features, as well as tips and tricks so you can maximize your experience and minimize stress (especially if this will be your first vanlife trip). No space is wasted in this build. There's tons of storage for longer trips, and the shorter overall length makes it much easier to drive and park than larger, extended vans or trailers. The exterior modifications are minimal and low profile, so it works great for urban and stealth camping. No one's ever bothered me in a parallel spot on the street. With a clean, modern design featuring white shiplap walls, a butcher block countertop, a natural cedar ceiling, and premium floors, it'll make you feel right at home. From weekend excursions to extended boondocking, LMS is the perfect option for your next trip.Dogs welcome :)What's includedSelected features:

RecommendationsThe Carolinas are packed full of places to explore! Beautiful National Forests like Uwharrie or Pisgah. Charming small towns like Highlands, Bryson City, West Jefferson, Boone, or Mt. Airy. The Outer Banks, Holden Beach, or Jacksonville out on the Atlantic coast. The old-world charm of Charleston, SC. World-famous Carolina pork BBQ all over (check out Brown's BBQ in Kingstree for a really authentic experience). And, of course, North Carolina is home to the beer Mecca of the east coast: Asheville. Always a great time, and there's a vibrant vanlife community in the Asheville area, too!

Q.

What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?

A.

I'm generally very flexible on pick up/drop off time of day. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything in particular to fit your schedule!

Like most people during COVID, I was looking for fun things to do. Some people baked bread. I built a van. (...I also baked a lot of bread...) I took Little Miss Sunshine on a cross-country road trip for the entire summer of 2021, and it was hands-down the greatest experience of my life. Now, by renting it to other folks on Outdoorsy, I'm hoping to share the freedom of a self-sufficient, off-grid-capable camper van with others here in the Carolinas! There's truly nothing else like it. For the record -- in 16,000 miles, I only saw one other yellow camper van. Just the one. We waved as we passed each other on the highway. It was awesome.
