This is the brand new 2022 Revel (4x4) with a huge suspension upgrade for smooth handling and pedal boost for great acceleration - it is the ultimate off road Class B luxury van! You're able to do dispersed camping, get to places that others can't go, and do it in style on the Mercedes platform. The van electrical is serviced with Lithium ion batteries that last forever compared to any other van and is backed up with 2 rooftop mounted solar panels. This van includes an air conditioner, hydronic heating system, induction cooktop stove that can be used outside, a sink with hot water, an awning for additional shade on hot days or ambiance at night, and an outdoor or indoor shower. The front of the cab also converts to a dining room if and when needed. We have a rack for 2 mountain bikes if you would like! As of Feb 2022 it has just 10,000 miles on it, so it is very new.Our goal is to have you enjoy this van as much as we do, so if there are any things that would elevate your experience, let's chat. We also supply kitchen necessities for cooking and eating, a trash bin, shaving mirror, and bungee cords for rear tie down. RecommendationsWe recommend a trip to Joshua Tree, Alabama Hills outside LA, or just sauntering up the coast. These are gems that are not too difficult to get to from here and allow for endless star gazing and great biking. Locally, seeing sunset at double peak park, camping in the Cleveland National Forest, or spending a couple days on Thomas Mountain at the yellow post campsites would be great ways to use the rig. Beaches here are amazing for surfing and there are so many hiking trails throughout the region that you'll never run out of new things to see - from wineries to paragliding Southern California has it all!Other things to noteYou will find that this van gets a lot of attention everywhere you go - people love coming up to you and talking to you about it and just learning more about it. We love our van and by renting it we are able to defray a portion of the cost of ownership. We have the brand new 2022 Revel - so much to like about this vehicle as it drives like a car and sleeps like an RV. The reason to choose this one is because we make constant improvements to the van, so the experience keeps getting better - we just added a huge suspension upgrade for smoother handling and an upgraded mattress for better sleeping! It has been a great experience moving from renter to owner and we would love to share that experience with you, too! The van we have enables a ton of experiences that would not otherwise be possible from making dinner at the beach to traveling up and down the coast stopping wherever we want to visiting all the national parks with the comfort and conveniences of home. We love our van and if there is anything we can do to make your trip more memorable just ask (ie. surfboards, boogie boards, camping chairs, etc).

Just a gentle reminder that this is a non-smoking rig and destination(s) must be pre-approved by owner (no international) - owner will claim full deposit for violation. The roof has only equipment so pls do not climb to the roof. This van takes ultra low sulfur diesel only (tank is marked)- biodiesel is not permitted. Water tanks need to be drained if taking it to cold weather; tailpipe damage from off-road or snow banks risks deposit. Roof height clearance is 11' so no drive throughs and need to watch low branches. Mileage in excess of allowed limit is charged at $1.50/mile. In the very unlikely event of damaged tires, cassette toilet not dumped (gross!) , or gray water not dumped (since it needs to go to sewer, not street) prior to return the renter will be charged at $250 ea. We are trying to be earth conscious through this process and do things the right way - thanks in advance for your contribution to sustainability!

Q.Can I get any extra things to elevate my outdoor experience?
A.
Please feel free to ask - if we have it we'll figure it out whether it is a surfboard, boogieboard, beach umbrella, camping chairs, tent, comforter, etc. We've done all sorts of camping with and without kids so there is a good chance we can help you out. Also note what we have included in the van to start with as this is what most people have found extremely useful (itemized list in the listing description).
Q.Is it easy to drive? Can I get on the roof?
A.
The van drives very much like a car with adaptive cruise control and lane assist driver safety functions. Just beware not to go through drive-thrus and of low hanging branches. As for the roof, it isn't designed to take people or much cargo load. There are two solar panels, an AC system, a vent fan, and vents for the shower up top so there isn't much room to do anything up there anyway.
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We will work with you and your schedule - just select the option for early pick up or late drop off if that is more convenient for your schedule. We find that these are popular because you can avoid an extra night rental, but get to take full advantage of the days you have the van. The only time there may be some complexity is if the van is scheduled to go out on another rental, but this is unusual.
Q.How easy is it to drive?
A.
The advantage of a Class B is that it drives almost like a regular car. The Mercedes chassis gives a very smooth ride and you notice it immediately. You just need to remember that it is a wee bit longer and a wee bit higher clearance, so no drive throughs, watch the low hanging branches, and you should be in good shape. Worth noting that the seats are exceptionally comfortable, adaptive cruise control adjusts speed automatically, and lane assist gives you an alert if drift out of lane.
