Bette is a 2021 RAM Promaster 2500 custom conversion camper van. She boasts an (incredibly comfortable) elevator bed with fancy Froli Bed System springs, a big upright Dometic fridge (w/ freezer), comfy L-shaped sofa, hammered metal sink, dual-burner stove, two MaxxAir ceiling fans, heater, and live-edge countertops. The elevator bed means there's double the floorspace of a traditional campervan or Class B, effectively giving you an "upstairs" bedroom and "downstairs" kitchen and living room. All solar and electric components are from Renogy, including a 2000-watt inverter, 200amp lithium ion batteries, and 400w solar. What's included2x camping chairs, camping table, fresh super-soft eucalyptus bed linens, cookware, utensils. If it looks like your journey might be chilly, there is also a heated blanket (in addition to the portable heater).RecommendationsBette has been to 49 states (alas not Hawaii), D.C., two Canadian provinces (B.C. and Albany), and the Yukon, and loves to take her guests anywhere they're curious to explore! California has the most National Parks of any state, and Yosemite, the Sierras, the Redwoods, and Joshua Tree are all faves, with great hiking, fishing, and stargazing, depending on what you're after (JTree was Bette's maiden voyage, so she loves going back). There are also a ton of amazing state parks, including plenty up the coast or in the Southwest. Other things to notePets welcome! There is a built-in feeding station with two bowls (this is stored away for non-pet-bringing guests) and a cabinet that can be converted into a bed for cats and small dogs.Bette is best enjoyed in temperate climates. As a 2WD vehicle, she isn’t built for the snow and does not come with chains or any snow equipment. Please no smoking in Bette; she's asthmatic.
