We are renting our family camper, a Lance Lite Truck Camper on an F-250 4x4 super cab diesel truck. We use it with 2 adults and 3 kids, and we updated this camper to be the best choice to travel independently and off-grid through the rocky mountains. We also traveled with the grandparents and an extra tent which we can provide too. The Camper has two additional seatbelts. We've camped in the mountains in winter without any problems with our kids. It's a great way to get out of town and we'd like to share the camper when we are not using it.The truck has 6 seats and the camper is very spacious (for us Europeans). It has a kitchen area, a dinette, and a bathroom with toilet and shower (which we use as mudroom for shoes and jackets). It is possible to use 3 beds in this camper. One queen-size bed, a small bunk bed above the dinette, and the dinette can be converted into a third one (183x100cm, 72"x40").The camper has a heating system and stove/oven working on propane. A 400W solar panel provides 12V power and 110V can be connected from outside. The solar panel powers the lights, many USB and 12V outlets to charge cellphones etc. Only the microwave require shore power. Since there is no inverter installed for 110V, you will need a special 12v car charger to charge larger devices like a laptop.
Pickup and drop off times are flexible.
What's includedFresh sheets on all needed beds, duvets on the main bed and towels
Espresso maker
Kitchen utilities
3 camping chairs, a camping table,
Propane grill
Basic tools, ax and a small winch with straps to pull you or somebody else out
We'll also fill the freshwater tank and dump the RV, you can bring it back without dumping it.Child seats and bikes can be provided upon request.
RecommendationsWe love to be on free open spots in the national forests or dispersed campgrounds.
If you want to visit the RM NP other renters recommended the Hermits Hollow Campground
We have a good bus connection to our house from the Denver airport: https://www.rtd-denver.com/app/route/AB/schedule?direction=westbound
Other things to noteNo smoking please. The camper is suitable for winter season. But we winterize the water system to prevent freezing damages. Waste water System and toilet can be used in winter with bottled water.
