Review summary

Exceptional communication & proactive service
Barry is prompt, clear, responsive, and goes above and beyond. He proactively solved a refrigerator issue by upgrading the RV and informed guests about a broken awning with alternatives. He provides thorough walkthroughs and is flexible.
Drives great, easy to maneuver
The RV is clean, well-maintained, and systems like heater, power, and solar work well. Guests praised its easy maneuverability, suitable size for national parks, good diesel mileage (13 mpg), and comfortable ride.

5.0We had an absolutely outstanding experience renting from Barry, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We rented this RV for a Cub Scout camping weekend with my twin eight-year-old boys, and Barry’s professionalism, communication, and follow-through helped make it a truly memorable weekend for our family. From the very beginning, Barry was prompt, clear, helpful, and easy to work with. I had several questions about the RV and its systems before the trip, and he answered everything quickly and accurately. We paid extra to have the RV delivered to our home, and Barry was not only on time — he was actually early, which is unfortunately rare these days. He delivered exactly as promised, walked me through the RV carefully, explained how all the systems worked, and made sure I was comfortable before we left. What really stood out was how Barry handled a potential issue before it ever became a problem. The morning of delivery, there was apparently a refrigerator issue with the original RV we had booked. Rather than make excuses, delay the trip, or create a hassle, Barry and Outdoorsy worked together to solve the problem and upgraded us to a slightly newer/nicer RV at no additional charge. That kind of proactive customer service is rare and very much appreciated. The RV itself was clean, well-maintained, and everything worked as expected. The heater, power, solar, shower, and other systems all worked great. We had no mechanical issues, no surprises, and no drama — just a smooth and enjoyable rental experience. Barry remained available and responsive during the trip, and he was flexible and easy to coordinate with for pickup afterward. We have rented RVs before, including for this same Cub Scout trip last year, and we have unfortunately had some very frustrating experiences with deferred maintenance, broken systems, poor communication, and owners who did not want to take responsibility. This experience was the complete opposite. Barry clearly cares about his renters, takes pride in his RV, communicates well, and does what he says he is going to do. In a time when good customer service often feels hard to find, Barry really went above and beyond. The transaction was fair, smooth, professional, and exactly as agreed. We would absolutely rent from him again and would recommend him without hesitation. Five stars all the way.

5.0We really liked the RV for exploring national parks. It’s the perfect size for finding a parking spot and having enough space for a long road trip.

4.0Barry was a great host. The mechanical awning was broken prior to our trip which Barry let me know about prior to my trip and he gave me alternative options. The RV was very clean. None of the compartment locks worked on the exterior of the RV. The vehicle drove great and the diesel engine was a big plus. We averaged 13 mpg in the mountains which was good. Barry was very responsive with any questions I had and I would rent from him again.
