Experience the appeal of simple camper life with a Scamp! This well maintained, clean 2009 Scamp is ready for you to hook up and go snagging in Seward, fishing on the Kenai or beach combing at Ninilchik and beyond! She is a full fiberglass dome, lightweight, easy-to-tow and comes in at about 900 lbs total weight, dry. At 13’ long, this little beauty can easily tuck into tight spots and pull outs that bigger rigs have to pass on by. Our family of three has made great memories exploring Cordova and Valdez, dip netting out of Chitina, berry picking off the Glenn, and rambling around Homer. The Scamp is a simple, but cozy home base for all manner of adventures. The Scamp sleeps two comfortably in a full-sized bed (dinette conversion with foam mattress topper and double sleeping bag) and up to two children/smaller people on the bench that converts to a bunk bed (top bunk rated for 50 lbs; I sleep comfortably on the bottom bunk and I’m 5’3”). Standing height in the egg is 6’2” and the beds are 6' long.In the kitchen, you’ll find a 2 burner gas cooktop and radiant propane heat, a 13 gallon freshwater tank (manual pump), LED lighting, 12v and USB outlets that run from onboard battery. It does not have a refrigerator/icebox (we use a cooler in the car). She tows like a dream with a 2” hitch, and 7 way plug. No trailer brakes needed in this lightweight camper class. There are electric and water hook ups which give running water at the sink, and a standard household outlet inside. There is no grey water tank, so depending on location, a bucket at the outside grey water drain is necessary to properly dispose of sink water. This is the perfect set up for no muss no fuss boon docking or campground living, great for couples or small families. I’m happy to answer any questions and do what it takes to help you get your Alaska adventures underway!
