I am sorry you feel this way, Tracy. From time to time, things breakdown in a motorhome. It’s unfortunate the timing of the generator breaking occurred right before your rental period. It wasn’t possible to get it repaired due to their being only one shop that services Cummins Onan generators and a 2 week lead time on appointments. My solution was to provide you with a 2000watt Honda portable generator, capable of handling all the power needs in the RV. Granted, you couldn’t run it unless you were stationary but in my opinion, not a major setback. Further, it is inaccurate to claim that the generator runs “everything” in the RV when in fact, it’s only required when running the microwave, TV or power outlets. The lights, refrigerator, stove and oven, heater, and hot water heater all run on the 12 volt battery system and propane. Again, the portable generator was a more than adequate replacement.I apologize that the vent system was not functioning properly. It defaults to defrost when there is a vacuum leak. It was another repair that could not be fixed in time for your rental.I apologize for the inconveniences that these issues caused. I hope that your next experience renting an RV is more satisfying.
