My husband and I had a great experience in the Winnebago! We actually recently bought a van and were looking for layout inspiration and found lots of it! The van had PLENTY of storage and was fully equipped for our trip. We comfortably cooked every meal during our stay, making use of the pots, pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, and yeti mugs. Yes, we need to hype up the yeti mugs because they kept my husband and I’s coffee hot even while trying to get our 11 month old ready in the mornings. Speaking of our munchkin, the van layout is a huge part of why we picked this rental. It has a second row bench seat where we were able to safely install her car seat and with the pop top it’s got two beds. We tried both of them out and they were very comfortable! The van bed being a Murphy bed worked great for our situation as it gave us enough floor space to setup our daughter’s pack and play while my husband and I took the pop top. A few of our favorite features were the magnetic strips that held the cabinet doors up, the small hanging baskets which worked great for placing keys and wallets, the toilet, swivel seats, magnetic spice rack, the zip up window covers (now a must for our build), and I’m sure much more! We were only able to stay for a weekend but were so glad we got to get a small taste of van life with our family.
Working with Alison was a great experience too! The van was impeccably clean when we picked it up and she walked through everything we would need to know prior to our departure. She’s really thought through what people might use on their trips and was overall just really friendly and awesome to work with. Oh, she also has this very organized, very detailed binder with information about the van so if you forget something from the pre-trip orientation it’s all there. The only thing I could think to recommend would be to have the front cab curtain built in, as it would be one less thing to setup, but even then it wasn’t a huge deal. Super happy with our experience and would recommend it to anyone!
