About Double S Rentals

We are Shelley & Mike and we welcome you to Double S Rentals, a Texas family-owned and operated business. We Love camping, taking our Jeeps off-road, seeing the country-side, kayaking, floating, hiking, and really any outdoor adventure. A few years ago we rented a camper for a float trip weekend and decided right away that we wanted to invest in our own camper and rent it out to others while not in use. We started our camper rental business and took some time to gain valuable camper rental experience, then started growing our fleet. Thanks to our great customers, we now have a great variety of camper units in our fleet.... something for everyone! Delivery and full set up is available, so that all you have to do is show up and enjoy! Our goal is to create a 5-Star rental experience for each of our customers through communication, customer service, and clean, well-maintained units. We look forward to working with you and learning more about how we can help with your adventure!

Overall from when the camper was delivered until the end it was just a hot mess. It was very nice that the day before we changed our mind and wanted the camper to be delivered instead of picking it up due to my grandpa's passing unexpectedly. That was nice of them to do that, but when the camper came - It was dirty inside the floors, the sink had water shooting everywhere when we turned it on, and we didn't have but a little bit of water. We rent campers 2x a year at least and this was our first time to use this place/people. It was just a mess and I felt they didn't want to help me or be understanding. I felt more accused or attacked when I approached certain things. It was very expensive and after the many things we had issues with the least I thought we could get was something refunded. But that is ok and we will find a different place next time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience with the camper did not meet your expectations.To clarify a few points:
The camper was professionally cleaned the day it was delivered. The photos you shared showed a rust stain on the floor from the metal table leg, which is very different from dirt or lack of cleanliness. Upon return, we did note some spilled beer, trash, and containers left behind. Our rules very specifically state that all trash should be removed upon return to avoid an extra cleaning fee... which we did not charge you.One of the first issues you mentioned was that the generator quit running after 5 hours of use. It was delivered with fuel, and under normal use—especially with the air conditioning and refrigerator running—it will require refueling after several hours. When asked, you indicated you had not brought a gas can or additional fuel. Our driver even offered to leave OUR gas can for your use, which was declined.

Double S was fantastic to work with, very helpful and friendly (and I love their story!) I chose this fifth wheel as one of the relatively smaller options but the inside was surprisingly spacious with the double bump out, not cramped at all! Our group was small, couple and a baby, and the bunk room worked great as a nursery and fit a travel pack and play. Great hosts, great fifth wheel!

Shelly was very easy to work with and always quick to communicate with you if you needed anything.
I’ve rented from Double S a couple of times and will most definitely be using them again.
I had the RV delivered and set up for our trip. The RV was extremely clean and in great condition. Everything worked well.

This was our first time ever to rent an RV and had no idea what to expect, but Shelly made everything simple for us. the delivery and set up was perfect and we just got to enjoy our weekend with no worries at all. we will certainly do this again.

Double S is fantastic! We gathered the family for Christmas and needed more bed Space.. Double S to The Rescue!!
They Delivered the Wildwood, set it up and then Picked it up when we were done! Slept like a baby in the queen!
