Automatic leveling system did not work. Called Russell for help, he didn't answer, left message but no call back. Then called Outdoorsy and they tried to help but after an hour on the phone with them, they said system was broken. So, had to level using 2x6 boards under 4 tires. Thank goodness I had access to the boards. All of the food in the refrigerator froze on the second day. Most of the cabinet doors and the bathroom door had an external locking system added to the front of the doors to keep them shut, probably when traveling. However, they looked very tacky and got in the way of opening and closing the doors. Interior cabinets were pretty beaten up. Definitely did not look like the pictures on the internet. I would not recommend renting this particular RV.

I recently had the pleasure of renting an RV from Russell Brewer RV Rental, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Russ and his team are simply the best in the business. They are not only professional but also incredibly hassle-free to work with, making the entire rental process a breeze.

Host was great. RV is a bit worn out. Clearly a lot of people have enjoyed camping in it. My only complain is, pickup place is NOT where it's listed in Elk Grove, but a location 18 minutes away. Shouldn't be a problem for MOST people leaving THEIR car on site while they travel on the RV. However, as a family that was renting a car in the area, it made logistics VERY complicated. I would just ask Russell to update the info on the correct location to be better prepared.

We had a great experience renting from Rusty. It was stress free and we had a great trip. The RV was clean and ran well. Rusty responded very quickly when we had any questions. We are sure to rent from him again!

The entire experience was more than we could have dreamed of. The van was amazing, the hosts were thorough explaining the ins and outs. They were excited for us to have an awesome trip! At no time did we feel uncomfortable or inadequate operating or driving the van around. This was an experience we will definitely repeat in the future!

Here are the facts:
1. We picked up the RV with a half a tank of gas, filthy floors and a partially full black tank and full grey tank.
2. We got a very cursory run thru of the unit which also uncovered a malfunctioning side out. Importantly, we were never shown the self-leveling system on pick up.
3. We were heading out directly so had to take it. The lack of a side out made it incredibly cramped with 5 people and a dog. There was no offer of compensation when we called the host but we were told that "it shouldn't ruin our trip".
4. The awning malfunctioned and had to be rolled up manually (host suggested we call roadside assistance). During this call with the host, he said "I don't know what's going on with that rig".

RUSSELL’s answer

The guest experienced some difficulties with our RV, and there were a few legitimate reasons for their dissatisfaction. When the guest picked up the RV, the living room slide-out functioned normally. We demonstrated its operation and provided instructions on its use. However, during the trip, the slide-out switch failed, preventing the slide room from deploying. This issue was unforeseen and unfortunate for both the guest and us. I informed the guest that they were welcome to return the RV for a full refund, but they chose to continue with their trip. Additionally, the guest reported a problem with the awning. These issues have since been repaired and are now functioning properly.

Pick up and drop went very smooth. Usage instructions were thorough and easy to understand. RV preformed well and was adequately stocked. Host communicated very clearly and promptly. I would rent from him again
