Welcome to Van Island Adventures hosted with Outdoorsy! We are new to hosting on outdoorsy! We wanted to take our love for the outdoors and turn it into a business! We are learning as we go, constantly evolving and updating our vans and adding more to the fleet! We are still exploring the island and would love to hear from you and all your adventures! Overall, my experience was positive. The host was very responsive and provided everything I needed, including firewood and a heater, which I really appreciated. The camper, however, is a bit older, so I had some trouble starting it one morning. Also, during heavy rain, the rear-right part of the roof leaked slightly, which made the lower sleeping area less comfortable.

Justin’s Chevrolet is a cozy classic that instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time — just like in an old-school road trip movie. We rented the car for two weeks and enjoyed every moment with it. It has great character and made for many memorable drives.
Justin was super friendly, always easy to reach, and quick to help whenever we needed something. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic 5-day tour to Pacific Rim Park. Justin was always available to answer any questions we had. Even in October, the van was warm enough for our young children to sleep well.

Awesome van! Drives great. Was reliable, sturdy on the road, cozy, and felt like home! Justin was very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend.

This was an older van, so I didn't expect luxury, however a number of items were broken and the van was cleaned only on the surface
(olive oil spilled in the utensil drawer, coffee spilled in the dish bin, coffee maker broken, frying pan burned and not suitable for use). In addition, a number of appliances did not function. The owner was helpful and nice, but he has a system of not inspecting the van upon its return. He seems to rely on renters to report anything broken.
He said that he is replacing everything that I reported.
The van did well though for our needs and we had a good trip because we borrowed items from our family before departure. It would have been difficult otherwise, as we flew to Victoria from the East coast with limited supplies.

Justin was very friendly to deal with and was very helpful. The van was well maintained and fully stocked with everything necessary for camping. He thought of everything, from solar lights, extention cords, adapters, to bedding! Highly recommended, we had a very memorable trip.

Nova was so amazing for our little island trip up the west coast and back down through the Malahat.

Absolutely loved our 2-night stay in Apollo while exploring Tofino! The van was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for our trip to Tofino. Easy to drive and comfortable to sleep in! Justin was friendly and great with responding in a timely manner. Highly recommend – we’ll definitely book Apollo again!
