Our RV rental experience was unfortunately terrible from start to finish. The RV was misrepresented in the listing, unclean, poorly maintained, and ultimately unsafe.There were no clear pickup instructions, and when we arrived, the host seemed confused and unprepared—even though we had arranged an early pickup. He apologized and said he needed 30 more minutes to clean the RV, which was a red flag from the start.Once at our campsite, we quickly realized the RV was filthy. Surfaces were dusty, the floors were dirty, and the bathroom was outright unhygienic—with human hair and waste on the toilet. We found a used toothbrush, a pair of jeans, and other personal items left behind. The towels were covered in pet hair and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly.The mattress was stained, the seats had stains and pet hair, and the bedding was incomplete and dirty—despite the listing claiming it could sleep 10. There were only two twin bottom sheets and a few small comforters, none of which were clean. Leaving us with no peoper bedding. The kitchen lacked basic utensils, had no coffee maker (despite being listed), and one of the stove burners was disconnected, which created a safety hazard.The RV was also mechanically concerning. At speeds of about 55 mph, the steering wheel shook violently, making it feel unstable and unsafe. On top of that, the toilet became unusable by the first full day, backing up despite the black water tank being empty.To make things worse, the host didn’t provide a door key, so we had to lock the RV by climbing in through the front passenger door—completely unacceptable.When we returned the RV and calmly explained the issues, the host became defensive and aggressive, eventually yelling and swearing at us in front of our children. We left feeling unsafe and shocked by his behavior.Communication after the trip was just as bad—dismissive, dishonest, and unhelpful.I cannot recommend this RV or host. The entire experience was stressful, uncomfortable, and a huge disappointment. Rent elsewhere.
