We hope to steer you outside of the resorts and standard tourism experience here in Hawaii, and help you find a lifelong appreciation for the incredible natural environment here. Tim's 4x4 Toyota Tacoma was absolutely perfect for our Big Island adventure! This camper sleeps 5-6 comfortably and proved to be the ideal setup for exploring the Big Island. The 4-wheel drive wasn't just a nice feature, it was essential and performed well on challenging roads, including the rocky ascent up Mauna Kea and other rugged backcountry routes. The Tacoma handled rough terrain with ease, giving us the confidence to explore places we wouldn't have otherwise reached.

The truck was perfect for the island; small enough to maneuver some of the tighter roads at parks and beaches but roomy enough when the tent was raised. We were surprised at how easy the tent was to put up and take down. Tim was super helpful in suggesting spots and helping with any questions we had.

We had an awesome experience with this camper truck rental. The whole process was smooth and easy, and the truck itself had everything (and more) that we needed to enjoy our trip. Additionally, Tim was very helpful and was understanding when we had to adjust our reservation time at the last minute. Overall we're so happy we went this route and would highly recommend!

Tim's truck was well-appointed and had everything you need for camping. The pop-up tent was extremely easy to put-up. He was really responsive and helped answer all our questions.

The Tacoma made for a great trip. Our family of four had a great time with it. There is no better way to see the island and enjoy the outdoors. Tim was easy to work with and the truck got us everywhere we wanted to be. Highly recommend renting the Big Island Truck camper.

From start to finish, this was a perfect experience! The host was super responsive, extremely friendly and helpful and the truck worked wonderfully for what we needed. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Above and beyond expectations!

We had a wonderful time using the 4x4 Toyota Tacoma and slept perfectly well in the rooftop tent. Communication was excellent and easy, Tim did a great job and was very friendly explaining the vehicle well. So we had the best time!

We had a great experience renting the Overlander from Tim. Easy communication and instructions were clear. The truck was very organized and had lots of different things you would need. The rooftop tent was comfortable and easy to set up and take down. Tim was very personable. Would highly recommend!
