William took 45-60 minutes with us to explain the camper van to us. We never felt rushed. The van was very clean and all ready to go. It was fairly eady to drive and operate. We did not have any reservations ahead of time. Campspot was a great resource for us. We loved exploring the western side of NC. This was an experiment for my husband and myself. We are excited to but something similar in our future.

There was no manual to help us to know if we were doing things right. First night nothing worked, our host said see if the owner of the park would let us hook up since our generator wasn’t working. It was after midnight so no one was up. We had the last spot available which had no hookups because we were told we wouldn’t need any. The water wasn’t working so the toilet stopped up. The doors to the bathroom were broke so they kept banging open, we finally had to tape them shut. We were going to my sons for a reunion so we were able to plug in there. We had a few days when we left to do some sight seeing but didn’t want another bad experience so we came home 2 days early and the rv sat in our driveway till it was time to take it back. It was my husbands first camping experience and now he will never go camping again. All the host said to these issues was Gee sorry about that. They said we broke an AC vent, we hadn’t touched the vent. They said we backed up the toilet, it never worked properly. We didn’t mind paying for what we did use but I felt like our issues meant nothing to them.
The Host never even told us what name to connect for our phones! Finally after 20 min of trying to figure it out I texted him. It was some weird letters but I had kept searching for Mercedes, camper van, something that made sense. I’ve rented cars before and the name of the car always popped up when pairing my phone. So even the simplest tasks were a chore.
Please make this owner write a manual for the wanna be campers so they know how things work and know when things are not being done correctly or they just aren’t working.

Great people to rent from! And I requested a last-minute change in schedule, and they worked with me and made it happen with no big deal. Good communication and thorough with the walk-through process. I did not feel rushed, and rode with me around the block to help me familiarize myself with all the controls. Overall a very good experience. The rig performed well all the way to Key West Florida and back, and was very comfortable to drive.

We had an amazing adventure up to Virginia at a campground overlooking the New River. We cannot say enough good things about Darth Vader. It comes equipped with everything you would need in a camper van.
