Fantastic experience!!! We'd highly recommend renting from Whitney. We've rented several campers over the years. Whitney and her husband were a pleasure to work with (responsive, helpful, flexible, etc) and their Winnebago Solis was a great set-up for our family of 4 for the week. Our 15yr and 12yr olds slept up top in the pop-up queen bed and the murphy queen bed in back was super comfy for my wife and I with a bit of extra legroom to spare which is not always the case in these campers (I'm 6'1"). Van was well appointed, serviced, clean, etc and comes with most of the accessories you'll need for your travels. Shade comes at a premium with no awning so we'd suggest paying extra for the owner-supplied sunshade pop-up or bringing your own like we did (bulky so last in/first out when you arrive at camp).Just two minor complaints:
1 - The cabinet in the back above the bed where you store your cloths, etc desperately needs a new latch/magnet. Everything falls out every time your drive somewhere which is a bit of a pain to have to deal with. The owner informed us of this prior to departure and we discussed again when we returned. This should definitely be addressed.
2 - All cookware, cups, plates, utensils in the van are really geared toward backcountry camping (super small, lightweight, minimalist) vs. a common car camping set-up. I know these are supplied with great intensions and space is limited but this also may be something to consider. We stopped by a Walmart for cheap plates, cups, cutting board, knife, and silverware totaling $40 and recycled everything when we returned.Again, highly recommended!!!!
