Thor Vegas was the best RV experience! Perfect size- small enough to maneuver, but big enough for a family of four to travel across country in comfort. Super clean. Super easy to drive. We nicked named the RV “Joy”. Such great family memories driving across country in this RV. It’s design is perfect inside and out. The owners are super accommodating and helpful. We’ll definitely rent again. But thumbs up. Highly recommend!

It was a great trip with this RV. Everything that the Ad states is corrected. The RV was truly immaculate on the first day of my trip. On return, the owner was also very accommodating on everything, for example late return. Particularly, the owner was very kind and generous to our pet.

We had an amazing time with Jamie’s RV. Their entire family was super helpful and communicative. There was a small maintenance issue that was completely out of their control and they were very gracious and helpful in handling it. We highly recommend renting from the Griffis family. We made so many lifelong memories traveling across the country with our little ones. We are forever grateful.

We had a great trip in this RV. All the systems worked with no issues. If you are concerned about covid exposure I would let them know ahead. The kids that cleaned the RV while we were waiting to take it were not wearing masks nor did anyone wear masks the entire time we were with them on pick up or drop off. Other than that we have no complaints.

I am so glad to hear you had a great trip. We do take every precaution on sanitizing thoroughly our coaches using CDC guidelines. We do not employ kids. I have 2 drivers 18, 19 yr olds who help only with logistics. I will be sure to get with them on the masks, we want to make sure every one is safe and comfortable.

So everything started out great. We needed an early delivery, they said they usually don’t, but they would make it work. We have a big family retreat planned and I’m in charge of much of the cooking. My wife asked me several times to double check and make sure we were still on, I said, no need for a while, but decided the day before to send a quick message. Thank god I did, because Jamie informed me that they had some mechanical issues and could not get a mechanic in time so they would be canceling the trip. If I cancelled with less than 24 hours, they would still be getting their money. What do I get when they cancel with less than 24 hours? Just a massive head ache to deal with and no time to figure things out. So I’m out tons of money for the camp site, all the supplies, food and gear that are now useless to me and my family is frantically trying to figure out what they’ll be eating for the weekend. My fault for not having a back up plan or listening to my wife, but for your own sake, do not rent from Jamie EVER!!!! There are too many other choices to risk having your entire weekend messed up last minute with no time to make other plans.

Jamie’s answer

I had to cancel w Zane as the vehicle was not road worthy. A slide out was malfunctioning and it would have had catastrophic consequences had he gotten on the road and the slide out been unable to retract. We did in fact offer delivery to Zane as a complimentary service. In this season of very high demand we are turning coaches around quickly. Occasionally one will be returned with a mechanical defect and we usually are able to rectify and continue on with all of our reservations. This week, leading up to the holiday was certainly an exception as garages and mechanics are overloaded. I am guessing his frustration may have over clouded his realization that this was the only sensible choice for the safety of his family. I would never risk the safety of our guests.

We had a wonderful time. The RV was exactly as advertised and was in excellent and clean condition. The family gave great instructions and were responsive when we had questions. We will definitely use them again in the future!

We chose this RV due to the two full baths, a nice feature We paid to have the RV delivered to our location to make loading easier. It was delivered late. As the delay was occurring we were advised of it but still late and no extra rental time given or cost reduction. We were advised of some minor issues: loose faucet handle and one slide needed to be overridden to operate it. It turns out the faucet handle broke the first time we used it. Other issues were just nuisance items: oven would not light, window screen would not retract. Nice refrigerator but ice maker does not work as the owner does not want to use water from fresh water tank or campground supply.
We were instructed not to use the levelers. This was a nuisance as the RV could not be level and bouncing occurred when walking around. Plan on taking your own eating and drinking utensils as no dishes or drinkware are supplied. A phone number was supplied but it turns out it only accepts texts which were not returned in a timely fashion or at all in some occasions. Thinking that the septic system was emptied and flushed as per instructions it turns out that some malfunction caused one of the tanks to not drain completely resulting in both a fuel and dumping station charge added on. All in all the RV just needs a little maintenance and TLC. I would recommend as long as you are assured all functions of the vehicle will be operating as designed and expected.

First and foremost, there was a minor issue w the faucet from the previous renter and a malfunction with the slide yes ...we have such short turnaround times that We had less than 24 hours to get it to our mechanic who does do regular service and maintenance on a continuous basis especially during this season of such high demand. We contacted this renter and offered a cancellation with full refund he declined. The RV is three years old. While there may have been those two items that needed to be fixed it certainly does not need TLC and the renter was very happy when he received it....The RV was not late, in fact our normal pick up time being 4-5 PM the RV was actually 7 to 8 hours early. We always strive to be as accommodating as possible, a 9 AM arrival is Not typical, merely it was an over arching courtesy. He did not pay extra to have it for the day and our pick up/ delivery times are clearly stated on the website and contract they are likened to hotel check ins and checkouts. The RVs we have are always well-maintained and 99.9% of all of our renters are extremely satisfied and we have many repeat customers... regarding the other claims , it was user error that he didn’t light the pilot on a gas stove and we thoroughly explained that to him..once he lit the pilot the stove worked fine. No one has ever complained about ice cubes and wanting to use water for ice from campground connections or tank water generally speaking, people find dirty..it’s not anything about owners preference. Really a pretty silly comment to leave in general. There is always a wealth of items in the RV and is always well stocked; we definitely went out of our way to drive 30 miles across town to deliver it and to pick it up and we did show the renter how to inspect and use sewer lines including visual inspection down into the tank...the tank did in fact still have matter inside of it upon return. In order to resolve his issue he could’ve simply produced a receipt for dumping. This certainly was an odd renter situation, we have multiple RVs and multiple platforms and our proud to have a 99.9% success rate
As such, we always communicate thoroughly and make ourselves available w technical assistance operational items, or even help with directions 18 hours of the day and there is certainly no such thing for us as a “text response only”when dealing with guests who are out in our personal RVs... that would make no sense whatsoever. We want to make sure that we are in direct contact and that people get help when they need it, have an enjoyable vacation and our property is protected as well.

This was an amazing experience all the way around, and took a once-in-a-lifetime 10-day trek from Ohio through South Dakota, Colorado and back. RV delivered (and picked up) on time, clean and ready to go, and everything worked perfectly. Excellent explanation of features and experienced no issues with performance. Wonderful family-owners. Questions answered immediately and accurately. Highly recommended!

I am extremely grateful to the Griffis' for the opportunity to rent their motor home. This was my second year in doing so. I travel to the Big South Fork National Park (Sterns, KY) for my son's ultra trail marathon race. Their vehicle is in immaculate condition. Perfect size for the trip. Their care and concern for my enjoyment and safety is second to none. I appreciate the fact that I can take my dogs with me to the event. And although the weekend is a "work weekend" for my family, there is nothing like the comfort of having the conveniences of home at camp. I highly recommend anyone considering the RV experience to contact them.

Pat and Jamie were very great the rent from!! Very clean vehicle!! Excellent condition!! Along with everything I mentioned, I really appreciated Jamie's attention to detail in responding to my texts!! I had some questions on how to operate various items in the RV and she responded very quickly, which I appreciated!!
