Wonderful experience and friendly service, Hawaiian style. This van was an adventure for us and made this trip extra special. Makana was very accommodating and engaged and went out of his way to make things a breeze, even giving us a free upgrade as we arrived a day early. Highly recommended if you are looking for a casual Kauai travel experience.

Makana went above and beyond as our host during our stay in Kauai. He gave us a call to notify us that the car would be ready once we landed in Kauai. He was very friendly and had several amenities like beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, bug repellent, pots and pans, etc. Makana gave us different suggestions whether it was places for night life, beaches and hikes. Our flight wasn’t until 7pm and he let us have the RV until we had to leave for the airport. We will for sure be renting from him again.

Renting this Campervan for a vacation was an incredible experience, to say the least. The van drove smoothly, had great A/C and was a joy to drive around the island. It came equipped with pretty much everything you would need, like folding chairs, cooler, pillows, blankets and lanterns, far more than I expected! Makana was also very kind in offering additional items at no extra cost like headlamps, snorkel gear and cooking equipment. He truly goes above and beyond for his renters and was a great resource for any questions I had. This was a trip that i'll never forget, or regret, and look forward to doing again next year! Thanks so much Makana!

This van was perfect for the kind of trip we wanted! It was very nice and comfortable for sleeping and fun to drive around the island. Makana was a wonderful help and we were incredibly appreciative of him!

The first van the owner gave me died before I could get it out of the airport. He came and met me to try to change the battery, but it still didn’t work. He then drove me to his house, about 45mins away, where he had a 2nd van for me to take. That one ran, but the check engine light, airbag light, turning radius, and several others I didn’t recognize were on. The alignment was off so the steering wheel was turned about 60 degrees to the right when I was driving straight. The van was mostly clean, had some wear and tear but at an expected level considering the van was an ‘04 I think. The folded out bench seat wasn’t particularly comfortable to sleep on but I made it work. The owner provided some nice add ons, a tent, camp chair, boogie board, snorkel gear, a cooler, and a plug for my charging cord that worked in the cigarette lighter. I was pretty bummed with my experience with the van and it really impacted my time on the island.

We were able to explore nearly the whole island with the van and slept comfortably every night. Makana can get you all the amenities needed to camp around Kauai

The van had a few issues with the battery / alternator but Makana was incredibly helpful and responsive and overall we had a wonderful experience. Great for kids and overall for touring the island.
