I built Boondocking Colorado because I wanted to experience Colorado the way I believe life should be lived: fully engaged. A mountain bike zealot, snowboard instructor, paraglider pilot, author, and speaker, I've spent years chasing Colorado's mountain towns, trailheads, backroads, and hidden corners most visitors never find. These rigs weren't built for crowded campgrounds — they were built as comfortable base camps for real adventure. At fifty-two, I chased down a dream from 1997: launching a paraglider solo off Lookout Mountain. No tandem harness, no hand on my shoulder — just me, a wing, and a decision I'd put off for twenty-five years. That same philosophy inspired my upcoming book, Hold MY Beer: I'M Going Back IN THE Game, and it's baked into every rig in this fleet.
