About Mark's RV rentals

Hey Outdoorsy Crew! We're Mark and Danielle - #adventurepartnersforlife - and we've been RV weekenders and adventurers for several years now. We're both runners and triathletes so we're often adventuring out for weekend races and to find new beautiful places to explore. We also adventure out in search of wind and our RV is perfect for kiteboarding and surf trips alike. We have two dogs (Charlie and Sala) and two kiddos - River (3) and Solstice (1). River is named after one of our favorite trips - to Hood River, Oregon! We split time between Aptos (just south of Santa Cruz) and South Lake Tahoe. If you have questions about travel around either area, let us know! We've owned two Winnebagos - a '96 Rialta Class-B and currently own a '14 Winnebago View 24J. We're currently building out a '20 Sprinter 170 4x4 as well!. We're glad to show you around the View and get you setup for your next adventure!

BGBUDDY was our first and second RV rental. Repeat customers since we had such a great experience the first time around. BGBUDDY took us to JOTR this time & we did some boondocking, without feeling stressed. The solar panels allowed us to run music inside. Freezer made ice quite well. Kids loved watching DVDs. Apple CarPlay was a big convenience addition. Mark & we communicated very well.

RV was exactly as advertised and in great condition. Easy to drive/park/setup. Mark was super communicative and available for questions (texted him an urgent question and he responded immediately). Highly recommended!

RV was great and fully equipped for our trip to Pinnacles and Yosemite. RV fit 4 adults comfortably. Mark was a wonderful renter. When we picked up the RV, he thoroughly walked us through all the ins and outs of the RV. He was also easy to contact while on our trip, if needed. We would love to rent BGBUDDY again in the future!

Unfortunately, our planned northern California redwoods trip had to be canceled due to the August-September 2020 firestorm, not so much due to imminent fire danger, but due to air quality that would preclude any activity. So I can't review the RV at all. But Mark, the owner, was great to work with, and showed far more concern for us than for his RV. He was helpful with planning, and when the fires became an issue, he first warned us what we might be in for, and then was happy to be flexible with our start date (which we delayed twice) and ultimately with canceling the trip entirely. I'd feel very comfortable booking with Mark again. Maybe next year.

Mark was very prompt with all communications, and one of the main reasons for me to select this RV for our maiden RV trip. He walked us through all features of the vehicle and patiently answered all our questions. Big Buddy was a joy to drive for both me and my husband. The hot showers were a delight. There were no issues with the ride and the stay: no leaks or spills or squeaks - everything that our 3 other friends (with 3 RVs from Cruise America) had to go through. The awning is very useful, and we always covered the picnic bench to be in the shade & the LED lights are a cool scene at night. The DVD player kept the kids engaged through long drives. The kitchen kit contained everything we would need. The vehicle handled very well even on windy roads. My son, husband and mom - all were delighted by Big Buddy. We look forward to our next trip with this RV!

Mark did a great job keeping contact prior to getting us on our way quickly and easily. The RV was exactly as described. The pickup and review of the RV utilities was easy to understand and simple. BGBUDDY performed well and was simple to operate And in great shape. The return process was as smooth as the pickup.
Very organised and stress free experience.
If your looking for an RV rental this is the one.

Buddy’s a great RV. Mark’s communication was excellent. Our trip was less than perfect because a fire caused a last minute cancellation of our reservation in Lassen.

Big Buddy RV was awesome! My husband and I took it on our first solo RV trip in it. Super fun and easy to drive. Everything worked perfectly and we had no issues at all. Mark was informative, responsive and held our hands through our first RV rental. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to have many more.

Do not hesitate to rent this RV!
We rented Buddy to take a family trip to San Diego and it was a fabulous hotel on wheels. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and we had everything we needed for a week long family vacation.
Mark was the perfect host and took plenty of time to show us how everything works before we took off. His communication was excellent! When a dashboard light came on he responded immediately with what to do and even sent a mechanic to our final destination to make sure everything was all good for our drive home. He was very accommodating and friendly.
We will definitely be renting Buddy again!
Thanks Mark for letting us take Buddy on an adventure!

Boy, oh boy. Our family has been mulling over purchasing an RV. Instead of letting spontaneity take over, our family took the responsible route and rented #buddytherv for a three night trip. Little did we know that this trip would change how we seeing camping and RVing on the whole.
