How to Make the Perfect RV Care Package for Renters

So you have decided to list your RV for rent, but you are not quite sure how to set yourself apart from the other listings you see here on Outdoorsy. In addition to some of the basics, like ensuring all RV-related items are in good working order, you will want to consider utilizing one key facet that can take your listing to the next level: an RV care package! But what items should you include in your RV care package?

It’s all in the details

If you think of a great hotel experience, you might begin to realize that many of the small details offered in a standout hotel are easily transferable to your RV care package. A great place to start would be by providing a clean, well-stocked set of utensils, dishware, and glassware for your renter to enjoy. If at all possible, aim for these items to be adventure or camp themed. A simple note left on the counter, in the utensil drawer, or cabinet letting the renter know they are welcome to use these items can really set the tone for a great rental experience.

Don’t forget the furry friends

Next, you can always count on standing out from the crowd by providing treats for any renter who is planning on bringing along their furry friends on the adventure. If you are able to, you might even consider having pet dishware available as well. Any pet owner knows how special it makes them feel when someone takes the time to think and plan for the needs of their furry family member!

Freshen things up

Another opportunity to provide a high-level experience for your RV rental is to ensure you stock a sufficient supply of toiletries for the trip. Small items that can make all the difference include air fresheners, hand wipes, and hand lotion. These items can be bought in travel sizes, which are usually available at your nearby pharmacy. This will ensure you do not run into any issues with storage space being compromised, while still allowing for your RV rental to shine.

RV-specific gear

Lastly, as any RVer can attest, the importance of RV-specific gear, chemicals, etc. cannot be overstated. No one wants to plan the trip of their dreams only to spend the entire trip living in a smelly, rolling port-a-potty. Take the time to supply your renters with your go-to tank treatment to ensure an enjoyable trip. Similarly, making sure to stock disposable gloves and wipes for your guests. These will come in handy when they reach the inevitable point of the trip where they need to dump the tanks.

To top things off, a handwritten note with a few of your favorite mints or even a s’mores kit will always make your guests feel like they are setting off on a special trip. Once they experience your RV rental, they will never want to rent from anyone else again. Congratulations on standing out from the crowd and offering the best RV rental listing anyone could ever hope for!
