Make your camping trip just that much simpler by taking a Casita along for the adventure. Casita's are easy to tow (even mid-sized SUVs, Subarus etc), lightweight, durable, and are cozy with a classic look. Plus they're easy on the gas mileage, thankfully! It's a great size for a solo adventurer, couple, or small family. Or bring a big tent along and use the Casita as a mobile kitchen/bathroom/dining or game space for those inclement weather days. From Casita: "Pulls with a small vehicle, Easy to hook up to vehicle, Easy to handle when towing, Safer to control on road, less wear-and-tear on car, and Saves on gasoline when towing.”The Liberty Deluxe is only 16' long but packs in a lot of amenities like...
- Kitchen: cooktop, electric mini fridge, sink
- Bathroom: wet-bath (toilet & shower)
- AC (electric) and heater (propane)
Plus picture windows that provide cross ventilation & light, and options for the dinette & convertible bed setup: 4-6 person dinette, king bed, full bed (46.5”), 2 single beds, or the rear dinette can be left permanently made into a twin bed with dining for 2 using the smaller forward table. We added NEW extra-thick memory foam cushions, flooring, pull-out kitchen faucet, backup cam, & all new running gear (tires, hubs, bearings, self-adjusting electric brakes).~ Cold weather dry-camping (no plumbing) is available for destinations with temps below 32F if you enjoy brisk mountain air and snowy adventures. The propane furnace will keep you toasty in most conditions, even off-grid.We love taking out our little adventure trailer (especially since camping with our little guy) and hope you can enjoy it too!TOW Vehicle Requirements:

Other things to notePLEASE NOTE, your setup may need drop or rise to achieve 16" at the base where the ball mounts on your hitch. To determine if your hitch needs drop/rise, measure from the ground to top of receiver. Example: if it measures 14", you need 2" of rise on your hitch (ball mount) to achieve 16". If it measures 18", you need 2" of drop on your hitch. For safety, you will not be able to tow the trailer if it is not level with the tow vehicle.

Meet your host, Jo

Member since 2022

James and I spent a few years full-time living in a '77 Airstream that we remodeled, but it was just a bit giant for hauling around on the weekends. So once we began a family, we decided our tent and truck camping days were over for a while, moved into a larger space, and found a great little Casita camper instead - which we did quite a bit of remodeling to as well! Now camping is much simpler for us and we hope we can share a bit of that simplicity with other campers while adding a few dollars to the little guy's college fund ;) It's a win-win. Thanks for considering our camper!

Everything about renting the Casita from Jo was great. It was exactly what my dad and I needed for our 3 nights in the Rockies. Pickup and drop off was effortless and Jo was able to accommodate the times that worked for our schedule. Jo was very thorough on explaining everything about the camper. Jo was also very responsive to any questions leading up to the rental date and goes out of her way to make sure she’s as clear as possible about all the necessary details.

We had a great time with the Rv. Jo was great in getting the rv hooked up to the car and teaching us what we needed to know about towing it. (It was our first time in an RV.)

Q.How do the electric, water and sewage hook up work while setting up at the campground?
A.
Casita's are pretty simple. For full electric, plug the 30 amp cord into the campground receptacle. 15 amp regular electric will also work, though may not be able to run the AC. For fresh water, you can either fill the fresh water tank (13gal) via a fill port or, if on-demand water is available, connect the provided drinking water hose from the trailer to the campground tap. For sewage dumping, simply connect dump hose from trailer port to camp septic and open valves. Gloves are included.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
We're fairly flexible with when you can pick up and drop off the camper, excepting Sundays before 3pm. Generally, we can make anytime between 7am - 5pm Monday to Saturday work. Feel free to ask about a specific date and time to be certain. We'll try to work with your schedule as much as we're able. Delivery is available for the nearby Horsetooth Reservoir and Inlet Bay campgrounds ($150 fee) but unfortunately, our family schedule doesn't allow for longer drop-off / pick-up drives at this time.

Q.Is the Casita an off-grid camper?
A.
Partially. Here's what is LP (liquid propane) and therefore will work off-grid: furnace, water heater, cook top. Here's what will work for a day or three on the 12V battery (off-grid): lights, ceiling fan, water pump (sinks, shower, toilet water-flush). Here's what needs electric and therefore will not work while off-grid: air conditioner, refrigerator. We recommend bringing along a good cooler (or rent ours) for food in off-grid or boon-docking situations.

Q.Will you provide a brake controller and hitch with the Casita?
A.
Brake controller: *required for steep/windy routes* If you don't have your own, we have a Curt ECHO bluetooth wireless brake controller that you can rent. You'll just need a 7-pin (not 4-pin!) connection and a smart phone for it to work. Hitch: we have a Curt anti-sway hitch system available for free. However, it has a 2" drop & so will not work with some vehicles. Just ask for more info if interested. If this hitch does not fit your tow vehicle, you will need to provide your own.
