The best way to describe this experience would be like flying with spirit airlines. If you have never flown with them, then don't. This company "stress free RV" Nickle and dimed every part of my trip. Starters, my pick up was scheduled for 1500 on my start day. I decided to pick up early since I had a 5 hour drive ahead of me. I called and asked about an early pick up and was told that it would be an extra 75$. OK, sure. I show up at 1230 and they are still performing some repairs on the trailer. So then, I get the trailer to my house to start loading and I'm finding more issues with the trailer, entry door pooped open while driving which it was locked and secured by the handle luckily but door still came ajar. Secondly, the slide out stuck out partially on a corner creating a gap in the seal. Third, the bathroom door handle and door itself would not latch or lock (not a big deal, but still annoying).
So now my trip is over on a Sunday and check out at pirates cove is 1100. I'm on the road by 1000 to make my 5 hour drive home. I get a phone call at 1030 asking what time I will have the trailer home and told them 1600. I was then told that I would be charged an additional 75$ for an extended return. When I requested the trailer I added that I would be traveling outside of San Diego. Why would the day of pick up be at 1500 and the day of return be at 1100? Makes zero sense. I was then told they model it that way because most renters are local and that how the hotels do it. Well, this is a hotel business. Needless to say, I will not be using this company again as they will charge for any additional request and are not flexible in any way.

Hi Bryan,I am sad to read this review. Our standard hours are posted in the listing and on the reservation contract.
Our standard start time is 3:00PM Our standard end time is 11:00AM. That information is referenced in our listings and is available prior to booking the reservation. I'm sorry to hear that your special request for an early start time was not available, you were not charged for the early start special request. We did our due diligence in contacting you as a courtesy at the end of the trip and found out that you were not going to arrive as scheduled. We wish you the best in your future trips..

Cabinet doors were broken or pulled off the wall with normal use. Promised items were not in the trailer at pickup. We killed multiple cockroaches in the first hours. Water hose leaked terribly and the sewer hose was very short. When we attempted to contact the owner he was non-responsive. Honestly, this trailer was the most stressful part of our trip.

Customer service with Michael and his team was extremely amazing and helpful, had trouble picking up the rv due to sone issue on my end, and the team was able to stay late and wait for me to pick up the rv. My only issue with the rv was how dirty it was. It wasn’t really clean well. For paying a prep fee, sure wasn’t look like the work was done right. Overall experience with the rv was great, and did the job well.

Used the camper for a two week road trip and the trailer handled well. Had a few hiccups on the pickup but the team over delivered to make up for their mistake. I’ll rent again!

We really enjoyed camping in this Airstream for almost two weeks as we explored the Pacific Northwest! Airstreams are designed so well visually and functionally and this Bambi did not disappoint. The Stress Free RV crew members were very friendly and helpful in person at pick up and drop off. We did have some issues with the refrigerator while on the road and did not get much help via messages through the app. But all went very well overall! Thank you, Stress Free RVs!

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. absolute JOKE. Mike is the rudest person on planet earth. He will take your money and charge you way more extra without a breakdown. WHERE I BEGIN??*THIS IS IMPORTANT*
- PSA always book through outdoorsy if you book with this company. He made me cancel my reservation through outdoorsy as "he can save me a lot of money" but he does this so that when all the issues start and you return the rv you have no one to contact a strong support company to back you up. He does it through his own sketchy ways that make it impossible for there to be a trace of your reservation between outdoorsy and wheelbasepro.1. First we had a faulty fridge resulting in us losing over $700 of food, we'd be gone for 6+ hrs and come back to our fridge beeping "E3" meaning cooling failure, technical error. After spending 5 days trying to contact Mike and his team on the final day of our trip he said "it's a mechanical problem and we will give you a credit for the fridge after running tests". We dropped the rv off only for him to run a "25 min" test and tell me it's "user error" even tho there's no physical way I can make a fridge have a technical problem. When I asked him to run a longer test of 6hrs he told me " we did a 2.5hr test as courtesy" when I told him to run it longer his exact response was "We do not have time to waste on running 6 hours, if you want tonpay for a rental day and have it sit running the fridge sure when the unit is available you can do that." His "we do not have time to waste" had me. If they were a legit company they would've happily done it. But to the fact that once you drop the rv off they will take more money from you without sending a breakdown and go ghost. TAKE THAT LEGAL ACTION.2. THE FAULTY BATTERY which he stated was "user error" again like I can make a battery go faulty LOL. we leave for 6+hrs and come back to our generator not starting as the battery was showing "dead" after waiting 5 mins i realised we have to charge the battery up by starting the car up and leaving it running for 15+mins for it to work. When I told Mike he said it's not possible and that they ran tests and there was nothing wrong. When I asked him to provide the technician report showing the lifespan of the battery and all the necessary tests he said "there's no diagnostic sheets for turning on the car or the fridge". Surely as a LEGIT company your so called certified technicians should have diagnostic sheets to follow for all issues to view. They don't have that cause they're not LEGIT NOR CERTIFIED. He told me if I don't believe him I must bring in my own technician to run the tests.3. this is my favorite, he sent me an email with someone else's name stating there was damage to the vehicle and when I stated that's not my name he said "Disregard I have too many tabs open" very professional Mike, where did you get your degree? He can barely speak proper English and then blames it on "too many tabs open". He won't provide me with any pictures of proof of damage, he took my security deposit and took off over $3000+ charges on my card and won't send me a breakdown? He said it'll cost the deposit plus more but it after speaking to 3 different rv specialists they said he's just trying to make money and scam us. ANOTHER REASON YOU SHOULDN'T RENT HERE4. Let's talk about how professional Mike is. He decided to call me to figure out the issues with our rv while he was "driving" and kept complaining to me about missing his exit like it's my problem? I have 3 witnesses who heard him say "we will credit you for the fridge but on terms of the lose of food you need to file a claim through renters insurance" because they don't want to have to deal with it and give themselves a bad name which they deserve already. While we were talking I brought up the battery and he cut me off and said "I know you have a lot to say but let's deal with one issue at a time" even tho every troubleshooting he told me about the fridge and battery I already knew and when I tried to tell him what the error message was he completely ignored me and told me the exact thing I had told him. He is rude, doesn't know how to communicate and better yet half his staff don't even understand what you're saying and just have a blank look on their face.
