Ours was a camping adventure in a van more than it was a tame RV experience. This was exactly what we were after!The van is laid out and built extremely well and offered what we needed for a great trip. A lot of thought obviously went into the camper design. The Ford chassis easily handled the ups and downs as we looped around Washington and bits of Idaho and Montana. I particularly enjoyed the roof tent, which gave a sense of sleeping out of doors. Plus, it was awesome to have all of the conveniences powered by a solid electrical system: refrigerator, hot water, microwave, A/C and even a Keurig coffee maker! My old Coleman stove was so easily aced by that electric hot plate!Jose answered our many pre-trip questions and responded quickly to a few inevitable issues we had along the way. I liked that he checked in via text nearly every day. We did have one moment in the heat of a long day while setting up in the Coulees that took a few hours to resolve. Even though it was likely dinner time for him, he worked the problem with me until we resolved the issue. I really appreciated that extra effort and care.

We rented this van for a trip to the Redwoods. To start with the positives: the van had lots of nice features — great lighting, refrigeration, excellent AC, clean interior, and it was well equipped with dinnerware, kitchen necessities, and even a Nespresso machine. Jose came out and showed us how to operate everything which was great. The vehicle itself drove smoothly and felt safe and comfortable on the road.Unfortunately, after the first day the battery system failed, and we were unable to use the cooler or water for the majority of the trip. The fix required app steps and charging instructions that weren’t explained beforehand, and since the person renting it out hadn’t camped in it themselves (he said he wasn’t the owner), there wasn’t a way to get troubleshooting support in real time. This meant two of the main features we paid for were unavailable and it created extra stress managing food and water and device charging workarounds. Outdoorsy helped us afterward, but it was a major loss of value for the rental.
